gleaned throughout the Adult Education and Training (AET) coursework at Colorado State University and the variety of people that I direct to this site based on individual discussions for hints\/thoughts\/techniques that help a person currently in a &#8216;sales&#8217; role to better impact &amp; learn ways to have successful teaching\/learning opportunities with adults.<\/p>\n<p>I have worked for almost 30 years as a degreed\/licensed Electrical Engineer in the product&#8217;s manufacturing business in which I help design engineers better understand the correct application, federal\/local standards, &amp; competitive differences of my company&#8217;s products. \u00a0Having had many opportunities to engage with adult learners, I was struck that there &#8216;<em>must be a better way<\/em>&#8216; than just the rehashed techniques of the instructors that I had in my adolescent schooling. \u00a0So while my initial investigations were just techniques to hone my craft; the AET program expanded my horizons to understand:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>real differences between adolescent &amp; adult teaching\/learning approaches by teachers\/students<\/li>\n<li>the economic &amp; sociological\u00a0impacts of education<\/li>\n<li>all aspects of knowledge transfer (from understanding the student needs\/modalities of learning, methods of feedback collection,\u00a0&amp; being a creator of content for others).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>While my completion\u00a0of the program is somewhat of a conclusion &#8211; in all honesty it just lays the foundation for new approaches of refinement in AET, advancements in specialized learning techniques (a &#8216;new&#8217; type of gamification &#8211; my future work), and connection with a larger community in which to share findings for the improvement of the industry as a whole.<\/p>\n<p>This website will continually be updated with new content as I grow as an individual within this field and I&#8217;d welcome constructive\u00a0discussion\u00a0through the\u00a0<a title=\"Contact\" href=\"http:\/\/dgnal.net\/portfolio\/contact\/\">Contact Me<\/a>\u00a0portion of this website.<\/p>\n<p>Now, continue onto my &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/dgnal.net\/portfolio\/theory-to-practice\/\">Theory to Practice<\/a>&#8216;
